A bit too chilly for my tastes

I had a wonderful opportunity to meet up with a talented local photographer in Nashville. We decided to shoot and chat in Nashville, so I brought Brianna along as our model. It was very windy and quite chilly, but Brianna was all smiles even when I complained. The session was a success and I found some awesome locations for future shoots.

My senior session today

I had a ton of fun doing my first senior session today. It was fun to have a client who isn't trying to run away from the camera. As a bonus, I found lots of great places to take photos in Nashville.

A Valentine's Day card sneak peak

Kissy Lips

I had a friend spend the day with me yesterday and we had a great time. Her daughter is adorable and I couldn't resist sneaking in a mini session. I just love her kissy lips!

One of my favorite sessions in 2007

This is one of my favorite sessions from this past year. It was such a joy to do this shoot, I actually felt like I was intruding on their special relationship. It was very clear how much this mom loved her little boy and how much he adored her. So precious.

The look

Oh my goodness, I love this photo of my oldest, Brianna. That is her stare, the one she gets when the world around her disappears, which often happens while reading a book. Andrew says that I get the same look when I read too. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Baby Margo

Baby Margo was a delight to photograph. She was so tiny and pink with all that dark hair, and for a moment I missed having a new baby in the house. Then I remembered that I was finally getting to sleep a full 8 hours at night again. I will just have to adore newborns through my lens from now on.

Ty is happy to announce that he is four fingers old and that means he can do tricks now. Seriously, how can you stand all of this cuteness?

I can't believe she's 10

The ability this girl has to melt my heart is unreal, I love her so much. I can't believe that I have been blessed to be her mother for 10 years.

Snow

I was going through my photos and found this one that I took while we lived in Connecticut. It was taken after an early snow storm that left the world pristine white and sparkling. That is one thing I will miss now that we live in Tennessee.

A new year with new adventures

I am so excited for this new year as I have decided to take a risk and pursue a career in portrait photography. I have loved taking pictures all my life and I am so grateful that I can do something that I enjoy so much.
